Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Maidstone Electrolysis & Laser Clinic and Maidstone Massage Centre.

By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

2. Appointments & Bookings 

All appointments should be be booked in advance. You will receive confirmation via email & 48hr reminder by SMS. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late, your treatment time may be reduced to avoid impacting the next client.

3. Consultations, Patch Tests & Treatment Suitability

Consultations with our fully qualified and experienced therapists are necessary to establish the suitability, ensure your safety and understanding of the treatments we provide. We charge £40 for electrolysis/laser/IPL consultations, and £60 for skincare including a mini facial. 

All our consultations require a £20 non-refundable booking fee redeemable against the consultation. A patch test is required for all laser/IPL and electrolysis treatments before your first session.

We reserve the right to decline further treatment when the consultation results in the discovery that it is not safe or suitable for you. The consultation fee is non-refundable once this service has been provided, regardless of the outcome. If you are concerned that you may not be suitable for treatment, contact us prior to booking.

4. Medical & Health Information

To ensure your safety: You must provide accurate and up‑to‑date medical information.

You must inform us of any changes to your health, medications, or skin condition (including: sun exposure/tan or fake tan within the last 4 weeks for any laser/IPL treatments) before each treatment and according to our 48hr cancellation policy. 

Failure to disclose relevant information before the 48hrs may result in refusal of treatment and loss of deposit, course booking, or a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. 

5. Payments & Deposits 

A non-refundable booking fee of £20 is required for all consultations. This is redeemable against your consultation unless you either cancel within 48hrs, or do not show up for your scheduled appointment. 

Further treatments of £50 or over require a 50% deposit at time of booking. Anything under this amount does not require a deposit. Full payment is due at the time of treatment.

Your deposit will be held on your account and redeemable against any treatment at any time. Deposits are non‑refundable unless the clinic cancels your appointment. Refunds are issued only in line with our cancellation policy. 

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand plans change, but please respect our time: 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a charge or loss of deposit. No‑shows may be charged the full treatment fee. Repeated cancellations may require pre‑payment for future bookings.

7. Treatment Results & Expectations 

Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. Multiple sessions may be required for optimal results. Aftercare instructions must be followed to ensure safety and effectiveness. We are not liable for adverse reactions caused by failure to follow our guidance and aftercare advice.

8. Children & Pets

We only treat 18yr olds or over. We kindly ask that you do not bring children with you to the clinic. For safety reasons, children are not allowed in the treatment rooms and cannot be left unattended under any circumstances. For health & safety reasons, pets are not allowed in the clinic under any circumstances.

9. Conduct & Behaviour

We maintain a professional, respectful environment. Please respect our clinic and our staff. 

We reserve the right to refuse service if a client displays: abusive or inappropriate behaviour, intoxication, harassment, repeated lateness or non‑compliance with clinic policies

10. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase are are redeemable for treatments to the value purchased, subject to treatment suitability. 

Vouchers are non‑refundable. Lost or stolen paper vouchers cannot be replaced. Gift vouchers bought through our booking system will require the voucher number in order to be redeemed. Please ensure your recipient does not delete or disregard their gift voucher email.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We handle your personal data in line with: UK GDPR (effective 1 January 2021)

12. Liability

All treatments carry some level of risk. You will be asked to complete a consultation and consent form before treatment. We are not liable for reactions or complications where correct information was not provided or withheld and aftercare was not followed.

13. Photos/Videos

We are required to take before and after photos of certain treatments for our insurance purposes, these will be collected and filed according to UK GDPR Data Protection. Occasionally we may request your consent to use any photos/videos for our social media, website, marketing material or training purposes. We will not use anything without your explicit consent. If consent has been obtained we will ensure your anonymity.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
